Prospective Online Students

• Start an application now.  

• You’ll be asked to create an account then select the type of application. You’ll want to select “Undergraduate.”  

• Next, answer all the questions in each section.  

• Under “MSU Denver Plans” select the semester you want to start.  

• Under the question ‘What type of MSU Denver program are you interested in?’  select “Online Bachelor’s Degree” in the drop-down.  

• When it askes ‘What is your planned area of study?’ select from the drop-down options to select an online program  

• If you are 19 years old or younger and have never attended college before, you will need to submit official copies of your final high school transcripts after applying.
• If you are over 19 or have attended college before, you will need to submit official copies of your previous college transcripts.

Use ‘Send It’ to submit your transcripts. Contact an Online Enrollment Specialist if you have questions.

You will be asked to choose a major. If you are undecided but know you want to complete a degree online, choose a likely online major and change it later. You can’t apply without choosing a major.

• There is no difference in tuition between in-person and online courses or programs. However, there is a slight difference in fees.  

• Undergraduate students registered for online classes will be charged tuition, Student Affairs Fee, Student Technology Fee, Metro Bond Fee, Phoenix Center Fee, Health & Wellness Fee (listed above), as well as an Online Education Program Fee of $20/credit hour. 

• You can review tuition and fees through the Office of the Bursar.  

• YES. Your eligibility for financial aid does not change if you are in an in-person or online program.  

• Learn more about your financial aid options and complete the FAFSA/CASFA as soon as you can for the best financial aid options.  

• Yes! As an online student, you may qualify for the Online Student Scholarship which is $1000 for your first semester and has an option to renew for $500.
