URBAN LEAGUE OF METROPOLITAN
DENVER GUILD BOOK SCHOLARSHIP

In 2012, the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver, Inc., through its auxiliary the Urban League Guild, continued its tradition of support for MSU Denver by partnering with the Department of Africana Studies to launch a book and supplies scholarship.  Urban League President/CEO Landri Taylor and Guild President Bettye Ellis, working with former League president and current affiliate faculty member in Africana Studies Professor Lawrence Borom, provided two Africana Studies majors $500 scholarships. Since then, the Urban League Guild’s commitment to our students has grown, with the Guild now providing two $1000 scholarships for the 2014/2015 academic year to Africana Studies majors or minors in good academic standing.  The Urban League Guild values and hopes to continue the relationship that has been established with MSU Denver.
