The Department of World Languages proudly invites you to the 2024 World Languages Fair. Join us to learn more about MSU Denver’s language programs, clubs, and services. The World Languages Fair is MSU Denver’s main event in the annual celebration of World Languages Week. Join us for games, prizes, food, music, photo ops, and fun! This year’s Fair features a Q&A with a retired Foreign Service Officer as well as the following career speakers from the translation industry:

  • 12:00-12:10 — Steve Lank, CEO of Cesco Linguistic Services (MSU Denver’s T/I provider) and co-founder of ALC Bridge (alcbridge.org), with mission to “connect educators and employers to prepare students for careers in the language services industry.”  
  • 12:10-12:30 — Giovanna Carriero-Contreras, Founder of Cesco Linguistic Services, Master Interpreting Trainer and instructor of upcoming “The Professional Interpreter in Community Setting” at MSU Denver.
  • 12:30-1:00 — Diana Helmy, Teresa López Galeano, Guibsi Greer, Colorado Judicial Office of Language Access (OLA) re: the path to becoming a court interpreter.
