Music at MSU Denver offers a variety of music courses for non-majors. Our general studies courses are designed for non-musicians interested in developing an appreciation and deeper understanding of music.
We also offer beginning instruction on select instruments, and invite all students at MSU Denver to join a music ensemble!

Of all the music courses for non-majors, perhaps the most rewarding is to join an ensemble! Our ensembles are open to all students of MSU Denver. Whether you are exploring a new instrument, or have years of experience playing or singing, MSU Denver has an ensemble for you.
All students registered for an ensemble are granted access to the Music Department practice rooms in AR-171 and KC-206, and may use an instrument locker in the Arts Building.
Some ensembles require an audition; to audition, please contact the ensemble director.
