an intimate hello

Overview: A Dance Event co-produced by the MSU Denver Theatre and Dance Department and the MSU Denver Center for Visual Art
Date and Time: Thursday, October 17 at 7:30pm
Location: MSU Denver Center for Visual Art (965 Santa Fe Drive in Denver; located in the Santa Fe Arts District)
Event Description: The MSU Denver Dance Program and the MSU Denver Center for Visual Art present an intimate hello on Thursday, October 17 at 7:30pm. This dance event is inspired by works and themes featured in CVA’s Corey Pemberton: Piece by Piece and Crafting the Future: Layers exhibitions. Students from the Choreography 2 course engage with these compelling exhibitions through original dance works that layer intimate gestures with mundane moments and striking physicality. The works cycle through themes of collaboration and homage, calm and chaos, routine and pattern, home and identity, and isolation and connection. The dancers’ poetic storytelling and raw expressiveness offer an invitation for the audience to journey through the imaginal realm of inner and outer worlds evoked in an intimate hello.
Please join us for this unique event, which is part of an ongoing series of collaborations between the MSU Denver dance program and the Center for Visual Art. an intimate hello is free and open to the public, but space is limited, so please register in advance to reserve a spot.
Registration: Please register in advance for this free event, as space is limited
