MSU Denver events can be found on the Campus-Wide Events Calendar. Important academic dates and deadlines calendar are also included in the events calendar.
Please review how to use the event type filters before you select your filters. Do not select all filters, but be thoughtful and be selective on the filters you choose. Similar considerations should be used for the audience filter.
The University Events Calendar is the one-stop-shop for all University-sponsored or University-sanctioned events, webinars and trainings.
The only events that are not permitted on the University Events Calendar are those that are submitted without University sponsorship.
Event coordinators who are hosting MSU Denver-sponsored events should post their events to this calendar. This includes representatives of student organizations.
Only MSU Denver-sponsored events, which includes tri-institutional events, are posted to the calendar.
The calendar is geared toward students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members.

Yes. Tri-institutional events are encouraged.
When planning your event — and before starting your marketing and promotions — check the calendar to see if your event falls on the same day as any other prominent or large-scale events. When possible, try to schedule events strategically and be aware of your audience’s availability.
Next, solidify all your event details, including the title, date, time and location, audience, your event summary, a graphic or flyer, a registration link when applicable, and the name and contact information for the event lead. Then you can proceed to posting.
We suggest using at least select one event type filter, but no more than five. Submitters should not select all filters.
First, confirm if anyone in your department is already a licensed user. Second, consider how frequently you need to post events. Any person or department that hosts infrequent, one-off events should continue to publish their events via the submission form. Those units with a high volume of events can use the Contact the Calendar Team button on the MSU Denver Events Calendar, or send the calendar team an email with your question. We’ll follow up to asses the unit needs.
Event submissions are reviewed and published twice a week according to the capacity of the University Events Team.
Four to six weeks ahead of the event date.
Events on the calendar do not expire. They are still searchable after the event and will not be removed after the event is over. However, if you need to cancel you event you can do so via the submission receipt that should’ve been emailed to you.
On the left-hand side of the screen, under the calendar icon, users can enter specific keywords to find events of interest. For example, search “career” and all event postings including the word “career” will populate.
Customize your view by navigating to the tabs just above the calendar of content. This will allow you to change the viewing format to tile, table, list, day or schedule. You can also select Audience type or Event Sponsor to find events of interest.
To filter events posted by an office or department, either use the calendar search feature to search on the name or partial name of the sponsoring department. Alternately, you may filter on the event sponsor using the “Event Sponsor” pull-down menu and select a department to display only events sponsored by that department.
Streamline links whenever possible. Be certain to manually set a hyperlink on extremely long link text, such as Microsoft teams meeting links.
Events submitted without University sponsorship are not accepted.
Representatives of student organizations are encouraged to submit sponsored events to this calendar.
For multi-day events, we encourage listing one event spanning over multiple days, with the event start day being the first day and the event end date being the last day. The details corresponding to each day should be listed in the event description.
If you have additional questions, use the Contact the Calendar Team button on the MSU Denver Events Calendar, or send the calendar team an email with your question.
