Policies

In order to cancel an event, we request that you email [email protected] as soon as possible to notify our support staff. Please note that all external events will be subject to a $150 cancellation fee and all other internal MSU Denver events will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee, if cancelled less than one week before the event.

Additionally, if you are on schedule to host your event as planned, we stress that you stay within the timeframe that was communicated for your event. A prompt start and end time for your event is respectful to your guests and our staff.  

Once a client receives confirmation of event services, this is an acknowledgement and understanding that OUE is committing time and resources to the event and thus a cancellation would result in lost income, opportunities for interested stakeholders, etc. Additionally, we recommend that scheduled breaks be provided within reasonable timing to accommodate guests and staffing. 

The Office of University Events reserves the right to limit or deny future services to individuals who do not comply with this policy.  We understand last minute cancellations may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, a speaker that is unable to attend, illness and other factors that can cause an abrupt need to delay, cancel or reschedule.  

In service to the President’s Office and in anticipation of an increasing number of signature level priority pop-up events, we will be directing our clients who wish to book their series of recurring meetings in CAVEA to consider other available spaces. This will help us keep a posture of flexibility and responsiveness to the president’s strategic plan and will help alleviate interruptions to the continuity of our clients’ programs when CAVEA is faced with last-minute updates and changes to plans.
